Color plates, black-and-white diagrams with spot color, and good black-and-white
photos with the diagrams. The color plates include some braids that are not in the
book.

The sequence numbers in the book may be a bit confusing if you don't read Japanese.
The first is 1 and the last is 56; some, as one would expect, correspond to movement
diagrams. Others are used for different color layouts; and still others for techniques.
16 and 17 are in the table of contents, but do not appear in page headings. They are
named color schemes and appear in the list of braids below. The list of braids below
does not include these sequence numbers:

19: Fusanashigumi (how to start a braid with no tassel)
30: Color schemes for Hirakara 12-tama
32: Color schemes for Ayasugi
34: Color schemes for Hirakara 16-tama
36: Color schemes for Kogomezakura

Anglicized braid names and translations were provided by Michael Hattori.

I have not checked every braid yet, but I believe most of them are in Tada's more
recent "Comprehensive Treatise of Braids I: Maru-dai Braids."
